Description

A basic electrophysiology course for healthcare professionals with an interest in cardiac electrophysiology.

From diagnosis through to treatment this two day face to face course introduces delegates to the world of cardiac electrophysiology. Differentiating arrhythmias on an ECG, loop recorder trace or device EGMs through to acute medical management of SVT and VT. We'll discuss various different ablation methods including several real EP video cases discussing the ins and outs of each procedure along the way. 

With an emphasis on examples this course includes live discussion of pre-recorded real-life cases from start to finish. During breaks there will be exhibit stands from our sponsors and a ‘puzzle station’ to work through even more examples.

  • Do I have to pay for registration using a card payment?

    Methods of payment for the 2 day course:

    • Card payment - through cademy website (preferable)
    • Purchase order number - please select 'invoice' as payment method and complete the details in the 'billing information' box including your purchase order number, trust and appropriate finance contact
    • If you are an MFT employee we can arrange an internal fund transfer using your cost code. Again, please select 'invoice' as payment method and include your cost centre and reference
    • If you are an MFT employee and have applied for CPD funding, but do not yet know the results please type "CPD funding applied for" in the 'billing information' box. We will need a copy of your sponsor letter once you receive it.

  • Who is this course suitable for?

    This is an introductory course designed for all healthcare professionals who are interested in learning about cardiac electrophysiology. Including (but not limited to): nurses, physiologists, cath lab radiographers, doctors in training, students, support workers, A&E doctors, paramedics etc.

    For example:

    You may be thinking of specialising in EP or moving to a tertiary centre

    You may see patients in A&E or primary care with SVTs and want to learn what happens throughout their pathway

    You may work on the ward and see these patients before and after having ablations and wonder what goes on

    You may work in the cath labs and want to understand more about whats happening during those EP cases

    You may be about to sit your BHRS devices exam and would like to prepare for the basic EP section
